[10/14] Case study
Walmart Cashi
The project
Cashi is Walmart’s mobile wallet, built to let customers pay, top up, and manage money from their phone. This engagement covered the early product vision, before there was a build to react to: what the app should be, how it should feel, and what the first screens would look like.
Our role
Flowform handled the discovery phase, brand direction, and the initial UX and UI concepts.
The problem
A wallet for a mass audience has to feel trustworthy and simple at the same time, and decisions made at the concept stage set the tone for everything after. The team needed something concrete enough to react to and decide on, well before engineering started, without locking into a direction too early.
What we did
We facilitated discovery with stakeholders to define what the product needed to do first and for whom. We explored brand direction for the app, then designed the initial UX and UI concepts: mobile interface explorations and layout options for the core screens, presented as alternatives so the team could compare and choose rather than approve a single guess.
The outcome
A validated product experience and an established visual direction that gave stakeholders a clear basis for decisions ahead of development.
